Some Pig!
Inspired by the classic children’s book Charlotte’s Web, by E. B. White. This life-sized porker is covered with peach and pink paisleys and swirls, and includes quotes from the book, such as, “Humble. Now isn’t that just the word for Wilbur.”

Wilbur is a cast cement pig which includes a rectangular base. I have covered him with stained glass, vitreous tile, glazed ceramic tile, hand-made porcelain letter tiles, Italian millefiori, glass beads, glass gems, recycled glass tile, and even a couple vintage Czech rhinestone and metal buttons.
The connected cement base is covered in Art Deco-inspired green and teal ceramic and vitreous tiles, with custom-made porcelain letter tiles spelling out “Quotes from Charlotte’s Web by E. B. White”
Wilbur measures approximately 34” long from tail to snout, 12” wide x 21” tall, which includes the base.
He perhaps weighs 300lbs, but he hasn’t stepped on a scale lately, so we aren’t quite sure.

Wilbur was showcased in the children’s book section of Cuyahoga County Public Library, Solon, Ohio branch, where he was surrounded with copies of Charlotte’s Web, by E. B. White.
