I went on a Caravaggio Quest:

These are my photos of paintings by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio. The lighting in many venues was not optimal — with a lot of glare even in person. I did the best I could! I viewed these paintings in the following: in London, The National Gallery, and in Rome, The Borghese Gallery, Palazzo Barberini, Chiesa di San Luigi dei Francesi, Palazzo Doria Pamphilj, The Capitoline Museum, The Basilica of Sant’Agostino, and the Vatican Museums in Vatican City.

recently completed pieces:

Last January, I gave a presentation to the Guild of Charlotte Artists. I spoke about the history of mosaics, my mosaic artwork and inspirations, and then gave a demonstration of glass cutting as well as a demonstration of cutting a glass “pizza” with a hammer and hardie — the same way mosaicists have been cutting tesserae for thousands of years!

If your organization would like me to speak, please contact me. I love talking about mosaics, and getting people “hooked” on this fun form of art.
