Hever Castle Rosebud
Framed mosaic art inspired by the gorgeous and aromatic rose gardens at Hever Castle in Kent, England, one-time home of Anne Boleyn. The extensive gardens at Hever Castle were largely the creation of American William Waldorf Astor, in the 20th century. This small mosaic is created using the centuries-old method of cutting tiny pieces of Italian smalti glass with a hammer and hardie, and setting those pieces (tesserae) into wet mortar.
