Framed mosaic art inspired by the extensive rose gardens at Hampton Court Palace, home of many British royals, including King Henry VIII. when wandering the gardens, the aroma of roses finds you before you find the roses! This small mosaic is created using the centuries-old method of cutting tiny pieces of Italian smalti glass with a hammer and hardie, and setting those pieces (tesserae) into wet mortar.
